However your mention of firmware updates reminded me that I previously installed the. From memory this was a prerequisite before OS 9 could even be installed. Edit: There are other updates available that don't come through Software Update, such as a QuickTime update. I don't have the version number on-hand, and I don't know whether there are any other 'secret' updates besides QuickTime.
